Risālah fī asmāʼ Allāh رسالة في أسماء الله
- Scope & Content:
- Anonymous commentary on a treatise on the names of God, ascribed the title Risālah fī asmāʼ Allāh in the present volume (رسالة في أسماء الله, ff. 2r and 201r). A passage at the end of the text identifies Abū Ḥāmid al-Ghazālī’s al-Maqṣad al-aqṣá (المقصد الأقصى) as the source for the names discussed, intending the latter’s al-Maqṣad al-asná fī asmāʼ Allāh al-ḥusná (المقصد الأسنى في أسماء الله الحسنى).
