A treatise discussing Sufi maqāmāt (spiritual stations) and terminology, by Shihāb al-Dīn Abū al-Futūḥ Yaḥyá ibn Ḥabash ibn Amīrak al-Suhrawardī (شهاب الدين أبو الفتوح يحيى بن حبش بن أميرك السهروردي , d. 1191), known as ‘the murdered Shaykh’ (الشيخ المقتول, f. 245v, line 20).
The text is followed by a chapter discussing the different substances from which the celestial spheres are made (فصل في أن أجسام الأفلاك مختلفة الأنواع), and on the process of development of animals’ bodies (قائدة والحيوان أول ما يتكون منه قلبه, ff. 246r-47v).
