Unattributed treatise on astronomical methods for determining the times of the three night prayers (تهجّد) mentioned in the Qurʼān (17:79, 25:64 and 73:20).
The treatise is followed by a brief, unattributed text On the Reason for the Increase and Decrease of the Moon's Light (في سبب زيادة نور القمر ونقصانه, f. 203r).
Begins (f. 194v, lines 2-5):
القول في معرفة أوقات التهجد
الثلاثة المذكورة في القرآن
وهو معرفة أوقات السحور في
جميع أزمان السنة
Ends (f. 202v, lines 16-19):
... فإذا كان ثلثا اليل (!) استقلت
الزباني وتوسط السماء الطرف وزاغت الذراع
وغاب البطين وكان السحور الأول بطالع الإكليل
والسحور الثاني بطالع القلب والفجر بطالع الشولة

تمت معرفة أوقات التهجد والحمد لله رب العلمين (!)
والصلاة والسلام على خير البرية محمد وعلى آله
على يد الفقير المذنب الراجي غفران ذنوبه وذنوب

ما يريد ويحكم في خلفه ما يشاء له الحمد والثناء لا إله
غيره ولا خير إلا خيره نجز بحمد الله
