The Newspapers carried several articles. One of it is the anglo Italian Pact. This pact is the coutcome of diplomatic conversations that have been proceeding for sometime. The value of the agreement is thought to be principally psychological. The news also carried a sad article about the death of the Rhodesian Serjeant At Arms Mr. Robert Vaghan Gorle who died in Durban. On the political scene, There was a story of the legislative council in Zomba. the story read that the fifty second session of the legislative council was resumed on thursday, April 22, when the council re assembled in the council chamber at the Government Offices in Zomba. it was presided over by His Excellency the Acting Governonr, The Honourable K.L. Hall .

Condition of original material: Some pages are torn, badly folded, are brittle and balck ink is fading.
Custodial history: The Material was published at Blantyre Newspapers Limited in Blantyre district in Malawi. The news papers were then collected, bounded in volumes and stored at the National Archives of Malawi repositories.
