The Nkhani Za Nyasaland Newspaper as a local newspaper has most of its stories in the Nyanja language. The paper carried various articles for local and international news. some interesting things featured included notices on six vacancies for Africans to train as veterinary assistants training school, Mazambuka, Northern Rhodesia; Government to subscribe African food stuffs - the story in summary is about government decided that from march 21, 1949 the price of maize will be subsidised.
