The Newspaper carried headlines in english about the death of King George the 6th. The other subsequent stories were in the nyanja language. Some of the topical international stories included the commitment by Queen elizabeth to duty as she had taken over leadership following the demise of her father. The paper also carried many other local stories and advetisements from Dowa business people especially on bicycles.

Condition of original material: The Newspapers are generally in readable condition although in some cases some papers are torn.
