Dyeline autograph scores, including a version marked 'final cuts 20 Jan 2012'. The material comprises:

(1). Front cover on orange card to Wood's file: 'String Quartet in B flat 1957'.

(2). 'String 4tet in B flat. 1st mvt. only' [1956]. Dyeline score (front cover page and 13 pp.), unmarked except for rehearsal letters A-Z in red pencil.

(3). Complete (and revised) dyeline score in three movements, originally dated March 1956 - May 1957. Front cover page and 28 pp. Dedication: 'for my parents'. The score was revised (2012) as follows.

• 1st Movement. A cut marked in red pen and pencil (spanning pp. 10-12); a photocopy sheet of revised score is loosely inserted (marked p. 11 in red pen).
• 2nd Movement. A cut marked in red pen (annotated 'Final Cuts 2012') spanning pp. 17-18. The bars of the Movement have been numbered to reflect the cut.
• 3rd Movement. Annotations in pencil (pp. 22 and 25) referring to double-stopping. Movement otherwise unmarked.

(4). Further dyeline copy of complete (revised 2012) score. Rehearsal letters marked in pencil and red pencil. The revised score in the 1st Movement (p. 11 pasted-down) is in black ink autograph. In the 2nd Movement: the cut on p. 17 is rendered by a pasted-down blank sheet, and at the top of p. 18 by 3 bars of pasted-down score. The 3rd Movement is unmarked save for rehearsal numbers.

(5). Draft material:

• 1st Movement in autograph pencil score. Incomplete, 59 bars only (1 bifolium).
• 2nd Movement (uncut) in autograph black ink (2 bifolia).
• 2nd Movement (headed 'CUT version in red pencil) comprising pp. 14-18 of dyeline score with the cut rendered by a blank paste-down on p. 17 and 3 bars pasted-down on p. 18.
