Part One (الجزء الأول) of a defense of alchemy against an unnamed detractor by the Seljuq chancellor (صاحب ديوان الإنشاء) and vizier, poet and alchemist Muʼayyad al-Dīn Abū Ismāʻīl al-Ḥusayn ibn ʻAlī al-Ṭughrāʼī (مؤيد الدين أبو إسماعيل الحسين بن علي الطغرائي, d. 1121).
An incomplete copy of the second part of this work is found as item one in the present manuscript (ff. 1v and 5r-12v).
The copy was completed by Darwīsh ʻAlī ibn Shams al-Dīn (درويش علي بن شمس الدين) at noon on Tuesday 9 Rabīʻ I 1091/30 March 1680 (see colophon, f. 196v, line 27, transcribed below in which the 10 at the beginning of the year 1091 appears to have been deliberately rubbed out and replaced with an 8).

كتاب جامع الأسرار تأليف الصدر الشهيد الإمام مؤيد الدين أبي إسمعيل
الحسين بن علي الطغرائي تغمده الله تعالى برحمته قال اللهم يا مفتح الأبواب
ألهمنا الرشد والصواب الحمد لله ذي الآلاء يؤتي الحكمة من يشاء
والصلوة على سيد الأنبياء محمد وآله الأصفياء وأصحابه الأتقياء وبعد
زينك الله بالتقوى وجمع لك خيرات الآخرة والأولى فقد انتهى إلىّ إنك
أخذتَ رأي جمهور من العوام وكثير من الخواص في إنكار الصنعة الشريفة المنجية
Ends (f. 196v, lines 23-27):
... فلنختم هذا الجزء من الكتاب
الذي أودعناه أصولًا كثيرة مكتومة عند أهلها وشرحنا في كتاب الرحمة وكتاب
الحكيم ودللنا على وجود العوالم فلنذكر بقية الأسرار في جزء آخر بعون الله تعالى و
حسن توفيقه ...
