This material is a Tamil palm-leaf manuscript from Eastern Province, Sri Lanka. A major part of this manuscript is severely damaged and deteriorated, and also the front and back side pages are missing, rendering the text illegible, thus it is difficult to determine the exact age, author of the original manuscript. However, it is estimated to be from 1801-1850. This palm-leaf manuscript related to treatments to poison. It contains all types of remedies for all the types of poisonous animals. It contains the details about the colour of snakes, colour of the poison and the teeth of the snake. The manuscript contains 98 pages and the letters are clear to read. The protective cover is made up of palmyrah leaf.
