Settings of two poems by W. B. Yeats.
(1). Op. 16/1. 'To a Child Dancing in the Wind'. Autograph score in black ink (1 bifolium). Part song for unaccompanied SATB. Corrected throughout in red ink. Together with a typed letter (13 Dec 1973) from Novello & Company Ltd to Wood, requesting he check manuscript and proofs 'as this work is to appear as the Musical Times supplement for February 1974'.
(2). Op. 16/2 (rev.). 'To a Friend Whose Work Has Come to Nothing'. Autograph score in pencil, fair copy (2 bifolia). Part song for unaccompanied SATB. The setting is 'for John Drummond'. Wood notes at the end of the score: 'Complete rewriting of draft of 17-18 July 1973. 25 September-3 October 1989.' Note: the original draft of 1973 is not in Wood's archive.
