Didactic poem (أرجوزة) on grammar (نحو) by the Andalusī grammarian Abū ʻAbd Allāh Jamāl al-Dīn Muḥammad ibn ʻAbd Allāh al-Ṭāʼī al-Jayyānī (أبو عبد الله جمال الدين محمد بن عبد الله الطائي الجياني, d. 1274), known as Ibn Mālik (ابن مالك). The poem is also called The Thousand[-lined] Summary (الخلاصة الألفية), because in it Ibn Mālik summarises in roughly one thousand lines his larger didactic poem on grammar The Sufficient and Lucid (الكافية الشافية).

قال محمد هو ابن مالك أحمد ربي الله خير مالك
مصليًا على النبي المصطفا وآله المستكملين الشرفا
وأستعين الله في ألفية مقاصد النحو بها محوية
Ends (f. 285v, lines 27-32):
وما بجمعه عنيت قد كمل نظمًا على جل المهمات اشتمل
أحصى من الكافية الخلاصة كما اقتضى غنًا بلا اختصاصه
فأحمد لله مصليًا على محمد خير نبي أرسلا
