Commissioned by the BBC in honour of Sir William Glock's 80th birthday (3 May 1988).
Scored for small chamber ensemble (flute, clarinet B flat, horn F, percussion, piano, strings). Autograph full score in black ink: title page and pp. 2-9 (3 bifolia).
Dated '15-23 March 1988' on the title-page and at the end of the score.
Written at the head of the score: 'being a small bouquet of tunes from pieces written to his [Glock's] commission between 1962 and 1969'.
