- a reference, dated 12 Sep 1916, from Matron L Faden of the British Hospital of Port Said
- a reference, dated 17 Dec 1916, from E Cuffey of the British Hospital of Port Said
- a reference, dated 5 Dec 1921, from Ellinor B Grogan of the Serbian Relief Fund, annotated with a note from Muriel that she resigned due to sickness, but returned to the role in 1922 and remained in post until 1933
- a letter to Muriel from Margaret Ampthill of the Joint Women’s VAD Department, dated 16 Dec 1921, originally enclosing two medals to commemorate Muriel’s service
- a letter to Muriel from Gerald Thesiger, Mayor of Chelsea, dated 22 Aug 1945, thanking her for her work at 24 Lennox Gardens providing accommodation for the homeless during the Second World War
