- Title:
- Hugh Wood: 'Wild Cyclamen' (Opus 49): Settings of Twelve Poems by Robert Graves
- Scope & Content:
-
Settings of twelve poems by Robert Graves, for high voice and piano. The file comprises a series of fair copy scores in pencil, including, in two instances, draft music.
Most songs have been scored on bifolia (295 x 420 mm) which have 15 staves (3 groups of 5 staves). For many songs, Wood has pasted-down 2 additional staves to make a 17-stave page (thus, the pasted-down elements do not represent revision of the score, although 'A Lost Jewel' may be an exception to this – see below).
I. 'A Dream of Frances Speedwell'. 1 bifolium (295 x 420 mm), including additional pasted-down staves. Date: 3 August 2005.
II. 'Wild Cyclamen'. 1 bifolium (295 x 420 mm), including additional pasted-down staves. Date: 15 August 2005.
