The file comprises: two sets of corrected printed proofs; a spiral-bound copy of the twelve Robert Graves settings (in photocopy autograph) marked 'Master Copy'; a copy of the texts of the settings, together with related material indicating other poems by Graves that Wood considered setting.
(1). Words:
- A typed list of poems drawn from Robert Graves, Collected Poems (1975) which Wood considered setting, together with a typed copy message addressed to 'Carolyn': 'I may not get round to setting all these for this occasion – and even if I do I want to be in a position – in collaboration with the singer – to pick and choose.'
- Wood's typed programme note: 'These songs were written between July 2005 and January 2006, and are dedicated to their first performers Andrew Kennedy and Simon Lepper.'
- The texts of the twelve poems set.
(2). 'Master Copy' Robert Graves Songs Opus 49. Spiral bound (A4 size), photocopy autograph score. A few annotations in pencil and red ink. Chester Music title page, the settings preceded by Wood's programme note.
(3). First set of corrected printed proofs (Chester Music, 2007). Unbound (A4 size), pp. 1-38. Corrected throughout in red ink, each page dated at the foot, from 21-24 February 2007.
(4). Second set of corrected printed proofs (Chester Music, 2007). Unbound (A4 size), pp. 1-39. Corrections in pencil (pp. 4, 11, 13, 18, 22, 23, 24, 25, 27, 29, 35, 36).
