Commissioned by the Milton Keynes City Orchestra. First performed 23 January 2009 at Milton Keynes Theatre by Alexandra Wood (violin) and the Milton Keynes City Orchestra, conducted by Sian Edwards.
Wood substantially revised the Concerto in 2008, prior to its premiere. For the revised score, see MS Mus. 1893/2/85-87. This file comprises the original and significantly longer full score, in fair copy, from 2003-2004.
(1). Movement I. Fair copy in pencil. Title-page and pp. 1-38 and p. 38 (two pages numbered 38). 312 bars. Each page numbered by the composer and separately dated, from 5 March-17 April 2003.
(2). Movement II. Fair copy in pencil (title-page as photocopy). Title-page and pp. 1-10. 103 bars. Each page numbered by the composer and separately dated, from 10 September-22 October 2004.
