Settings for mezzo-soprano and string orchestra: 'Tom O'Bedlam's Song' (Anon.); 'Why East Wind Chills' (Dylan Thomas); and 'O Unicorn Among the Cedars' (W. H. Auden). The settings were first drafted in 1957, and were subsequently 'recast' between summer 2009 and spring 2010. This file comprises both the earlier drafts and the later revised score. The material is arranged beginning with the most recent score and drafts.
(1). Autograph full score in pencil (2009-10). Title-page and pp. 1-19 (6 nested bifolia: 300 x 420 mm). Dated: 20 September 2009 (p. 1); 15 February 2010 (p. 12); and 18 March 2010 (p. 19).
(2). 'Tom O'Bedlam's Song' (2009). Pencil drafts:
