Nine letters and a postcard from Moore to March:
(1) Moore to March (typescript, c/o Burleigh House, Polruan-by-Fowey, Cornwall, 27 January, 1949), writing from a Cornish location where is working on a rock garden that slopes down to the harbour, Moore is unwilling to play 'any very active part in a re-organised PL' but would be 'delighted to become a director, if that can be of assistance to you' and 'can quite see that you might have to force Tambi's retirement as a director, though I should be sorry if it had to be so';
(2) Moore to March (postcard from Fowey, 31 January, 1949), advising that he will not return until next Sunday;
(3) Moore to March (typescript, 20 Victoria Square, London, 20 February, 1949), in the middle of moving to a flat in Orpington, working long hours preparing a rock garden exhibit for Ideal Homes Exhibition, Olympia, but can attend PL Board Meeting with advance warning;
(4) Moore to March (typescript, St Mary Cray, Orpington, 5 April, 1949): 'Of course, you had to deal with Tambi as you have done';
(5) Moore to March (typescript, Orpington, 30 July, [1949]), commenting on Poetry London proofs;
(6) Moore to March (typescript, Orpington, 3 August, 1949), with uncertainties about his employment as nurseryman, and agreeing to a meeting with March: 'Is Tambi now reconciled to our running PL?';
(7) Moore to March (typescript, Orpington, 19 November, 1949), referring to a letter March has received from Manya Harari [see Harari to March, 8 November, 1949], and agreeing with March that Tambimuttu's 'distress is largely fictitious - a way of supporting himself, like (I know this is even more heretical and brutal) Gascoyne's madness';
(8) Moore to March (manuscript, PL embossed paper, without date [December, 1949]), suggesting a small addition to a narrative statement of the management affairs of Poetry London and Editions Poetry London, from 1939-1949 [for the statement, dated 2 December, 1949, see Add MS 88908/7/3/2];
(9) Moore to March (typescript, Orpington, dated 'Tuesday' [December, 1949], commenting on Poetry London and on Thomas Blackburn in particular, with passages of the letter marked in pencil;
(10) Moore to March (manuscript, Editions Poetry London letterhead, St Mary Cray, [Orpington], 26 December, 1949), beginning with a brief reference to being unable 'to take Lynette [Roberts] to her party', and thereafter commenting critically and extensively on Ronald Duncan's various practical suggestions (themed numbers, competitions, commissioned work) to revive Poetry London - see Duncan to March, without date [December, 1949], numbered sheets 171-2 (Add MS 88908/3).
