Correspondence:

(1) Raine to March (manuscript, London, 26 September, 1949), understanding of 'the practical impossibility of working with Tambi' but firmly of the opinion that 'the whole character of the paper is Tambi's character' and objects to continuing publication under the name Poetry London;

(2) March to Raine (carbon typescript, 27 September, 1949), a long letter (three pages) in which March admits to bitterness over the 'ill-feeling that Tambi succeeds in creating for other people' and describes his decision to invest in the magazine as a 'grotesque step, which no one else in their senses either then or since has dreamed of doing';

(3) Raine to March (manuscript, London, without date [September or October, 1949]), a conciliatory letter, but maintaining the view that 'Tambi's contribution to poetry ... deserves to be left on record, under the name of the paper by which he was known to all the literary world'.
