A copy of a general letter from Bombay Castle to Robert Cowan, Chief, and the factors at Mocha, dated 28 October 1724.
The letter mostly concerns matters relating to the following: ships which had arrived at Bombay from Mocha, and ships which had departed Bombay for Mocha; the sale of goods from Europe and India at Mocha; investment in coffee for export by the Mocha Factory; the trade of the East India Company in general at Mocha and Beetlefuckee [Bayt al Faqīh], and relations with the Government of Mocha and Beetlefuckee; factors, writers, officers and soldiers of the Mocha Factory, and their accounts; and the Mocha Factory accounts, which were to be sent to Bombay yearly.
It was received via the ship Greenwich, 24 May 1726.
