This item is a collection to India Political Despatch No. 37 of 28 February 1867, from the Secretary of State for India to the Government of India Foreign Department (the Political Despatch itself is not included in this item). The collection consists of papers forwarded with the Government of India Foreign Letter Political, to the Secretary of State for India, No. 162 of 21 September 1866, received 22 October 1866, forwarding correspondence showing that the Government of India Foreign Department have approved the nomination by the Government of Bombay of Agha Mahomed Baker Khan [Āghā Muḥammad Bakr Khān], present Consul for Muscat in Bombay [Mumbai], to the office of Native Agent at Muscat, as a temporary arrangement.
The correspondence consists of a letter and two telegrams exchanged between the Government of India Foreign Department and the Government of Bombay, dated 20 August to 3 September 1866.
