Continuation of papers regarding the 1913 uprising of the Ibāḍī imamate and the tribes of the interior of Oman under the leadership of Sālim bin Rāshid al-Kharūṣī, against the authority of the Sultan of Muscat and Oman, Taymūr bin Fayṣal Āl Bū Sa‘īd.

Reports and correspondence from the Political Agent at Muscat, the Civil Commissioner at Baghdad, and the Government of India Foreign and Political Department. The papers concern: the proposed reforms to be implemented by the Sultan of Muscat in return for a loan from the Government of India; the impact of customs reform on Muscat merchants; and the ongoing negotiations with the rebel leaders supporting the Imam.

The file also contains translated letters received by the Political Agent from the Sultan of Muscat, and from the rebel Hamid bin Said bin Shanan Al Faleti. Folios 239-64 include petitions received from various Muscat merchants, protesting against the introduction of new customs rules and fees.
