This item consists of correspondence relating to Sir Sultan Muhammad Shah, Aga Khan. Correspondence relates to the award of the Nobel Peace Prize to His Highness, Sir Sultan Muhammad Shah, Aga Khan, for his efforts to maintain the peace between Turkey and the Western Powers since the Mudros Armistice (1918).
Also includes telegrams from Ismailia communities to the Bombay Presidency thanking the British Government for the award of eleven gun salutes to the Aga Khan.
The item includes (folio 129) 'A Geneaological Table of H.H. the Hon'ble Sir Aga Sultan Muhammad Shah Aga Khan, G.C.I.E., K.C.I.E.'
Also discussed is the appeal of the Aga Khan for the privilege of exemption from income tax in the United Kingdom, which was rejected by the Government of India.
