ff. 196r-197v: William de Montibus (d. 1213), Poeniteas Cito (I Urge You to Repent), in a late 12th-century hand, with marginal gloss, beginning: '[P]eniteas cito peccator cum sit miserator'.
f. 197v: A colophon: 'Explicit hic scriptus qui scripsit sit benedictus, Finit dictamen Deus omnes nos regat amen. Rogerus scripsit in Welltona uero vixit. Laus tibi sit Christus, quoniam liber explicit iste'.
[ff. 84r, 101v, 109v, 118r, 198r are blank].
Decoration:
1 7-line pen-flourished initial C in royal blue ornamented with red (f. 156r). 1 5-line pen-flourished initial A in royal blue ornamented with red (f. 150v). Numerous large initials in royal blue ornamented with red penwork decoration; royal blue and red paraph marks.

Provenance:
The Benedictine abbey of St Edmund, King and Martyr, Bury St Edmunds, founded in 1020: the manuscript contains the Hosteller’s register of the Abbey.
Robert Holt, an unidentified 15th-century owner: added his note, partly erased, legible under ultra-violet light: '‘Robertus Holt dedit hunc librum Iohanni Holt ffratri eius' in a 15th-century hand (f. 195r); given by him to John Holt, his brother.
