ff. 40r-44r: Annalistic chronicle, 1114–1158. A note in the upper margin of f. 40r in an early-modern hand states, 'Additiones monachi de Cogishale', but this chronicle is believed to have been compiled by the Augustinian cannons of St Osyth's, Essex as a continuation of the preceding Ralph Niger's Chronicle ff. 4r-39v (see Grandson, Historical Writing , 1550-1307 (1974), p. 331, nn. 92, 93).

f. 45v: A list of the kings of Wessex and England, added in c. 1300.

Provenance: The Savigniac and Cistercian (1147) monastery of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Coggeshall, Essex: the list of kings added in c. 1300 refers to King Stephen as 'fundator domus de Coggeshalle' (f. 45v).
