Also contains letters from William Smith and Howard Smith detailing various candidates proposed to succeed Derby after his death in 1893 and a 1903 letter from Arthur Llewelyn Roberts to the succeeding President, Robert Offley Ashburton Crewe-Milnes, Earl of Crewe.
