Contains correspondence relating to organisations wishing to use or given permission to use the Literary Fund’s premises. The file includes correspondence and documentation relating to successful applications from the John Locke’s Monument Committee in 1808, the Prayer Book and Homily Society in 1820, the Architectural Society in 1822, the Royal Society of Literature in 1823, the Percy Society in 1841 (which folded in 1852, granting its remaining monies to the Fund), the Society for Hellenic Studies in 1880, the Society of Schoolmasters in 1884 and the “Keeley Demonstration” in 1896, as well as a small number of queries and related letters.
