Letter informing the Commander that Pelly will be departing for Kurrachee [Karachi] that day and that Lieutenant-Colonel Edward Ross is the next Senior Political Officer in the Gulf and will be co-operating with the Commander in Pelly's absence.
The letter informs the Commander of the instructions which Pelly has conveyed to Ross regarding one of Her Majesty's Ships taking a cruize along the Arab Coast and then going to Bahrain, and requesting that a Vessel of War remain in the vicinity of Bahrain at all times.
