Letter regarding the circular letters addressed by Pelly to the Sultan of Muscat and the Maritime Chiefs which had enclosed their Anti-Slavery engagements and which had reminded them of the necessity of strictly observing the engagement, and requesting that authenticated copies of both the English and Arabic circular be made.
The letter also requests copies of correspondence between Pelly and the Government on the subject as well as copies of the reports which he and Colonel Charles Herbert addressed to Government concerning the Slave Trade at Kuwait and towards Busreh [Basra].
