Genre/Subject Matter:
This image shows the single screw motor yacht (‘M. Y.’) Petanga, built in 1941, at anchor at an unknown location. The image was appended to a description of the yacht provided by Gosport Yacht & Marine Agency, Portsmouth (folio 191). According to folios 190 and 196-7, the yacht was considered for purchase by the Bahrain Political Agency in December 1948. Inscriptions:
Verso, in two colours of blue ink: ‘M. Y. PETANGA’ ‘Please return to Gosport Yacht & Marine Agency, 67 & 69 Commercial Road, Portsmouth, Tel. No. Portsmouth 74144.’

Condition:
The image is in good condition with minimal fading, however, creases extend from the left throughout and foxing and creasing has occurred where a paper clip held the image to its adjacent folio.
