The Resident acknowledges the receipt of a circular communication, dated 1 July 1818, which was a reminder of an earlier circular communication, dated 10 April 1818. The earlier circular communication requested an account of the presents made and received by the Resident during the past official year. The Resident states that an account of the presents made and received during the past official year was transmitted on 2 July; he adds that the circular command of 10 April was not received at Bushire until 27 June.
