Gates at the third and last guardroom into the upper courtyard and the Chief's residential quarters. These gates, presumably, are the very same that opened and shut for the Tulajee Angria and which were flung wide agape for Watson and Clive when they entered as conquerors in 1756. They still swing creakily on their worn hinges, but it is the wicked door, admitting one person only at a time and in a crouching position that is now as then mostly used.
