Thrre-quarter length seated portrait of Anton Da Silva. There are several families of Christians at Bhopal; they originally came from Gwalior and Delhi. They are all very fair; they intermarry among themselves only: they profess to be Roman Catholics, but are half Mahomedans: their women are kept in purdah.
