With sculptural decoration partially covered by white plaster on lower storey. Described in E. D. Lyon, 'Notes to accompany a series of photographs designed to illustrate the ancient architecture of Western India' (Geneva, 1871), p. 16: 'It is also situated in the square of Adinath and is dedicated to Shau'tinath the 16th Tirthankar. It has been perhaps the best specimen of a Chaumukh complete in itself to be found on the hill, but it is also fast being covered with the odious plaster concealing all its details and making what has once been a handsome elegant stone temple into a polished gewgaw.'
