Lyon, 'Notes to accompany a series of photographs designed to illustrate the ancient architecture of Western India' (Geneva, 1871): '636. - Represents the Bhamtior Cloisters surrounding the temple of Himabhoy Wakhatchand No. 635 and also the door, by which the enclosure is entered. The strange incongruous mixture of architecture shows at once the whole to be modern, though the beauty of the arches of the colonnade proves that though the taste may be daily becoming more depraved, still the power of execution remains unimpaired among the natives of India.'
