View looking across the rooftops of the city. The letterpress caption note reads: 'The streets of the native city are so very narrow and irregular that a general view of it shows nothing but house-tops, and to secure even this is a matter of difficulty, the one we have selected as giving some idea of its extent was taken from the roof of a pawn shop; these buildings being always erected in the form of high square towers, similar to the one seen in the left of this view.'
