25 mica paintings depicting a festival, occupations and methods of transport, pasted into the journal of Ensign G.W. Eaton.
By Benares artists, c.1858.
Gouache on mica; various sizes.
Note: Eaton was posted to Delhi and passed through Benares on his way up the river in July 1858. He probably purchased these mica paintings at that tinie.
