Map of Persia [Iran], printed in black and white with red annotations. The map shows the major towns and cities of Persia, with interconnecting trade routes marked with black lines. Regions are indicated in black capitals. The red annotations are either numbers, which refer to trade routes described in the volume in which the map is enclosed (ff 73-77), or directions to towns, marked with arrows. Geographical features marked on the map include coastline, lakes, rivers and topography.
The map is signed Arthur Hills Gleadowe-Newcomen F.R.G.S. [Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society] and President of the Commercial Mission.
