Map on four sheets numbered I-IV, produced from an original survey by Richard John Preece, Assistant Superintendent of the Telegraph Department, Persia. The maps show the road between Shiraz and Jashk [Jāsk], as travelled by Preece on a journey on foot in 1884, and described in the enclosing volume. The map indicates: the road; settlements along the route; topography, with some indication of relief. Each map has an index, indicating the sheet number and its position in relation to the other three sheets.
A printing caption at the bottom of sheet I of the map reads: ‘Drawn and zincographed in the Intelligence Branch, Qr. Mr. Genl’s Dept. in India, Simla, October 1884. Examined J.A.A.’
