- Scope & Content:

Street scenes in Bombay and surrounding districts.
Series of twenty snapshot-sized prints of street scenes, captioned in the negative. The locations are identified as Bhapu Khote Street, De Sousa Street, Haji Ismail's Stables, 14 Nana's Wadi; Alli Umar Street; Dina's Chawl, 103 Trinity Street; 2nd Koliwada Lane (many rats); Gully 141-3, Alli Umar Street; Jambli Street; 17-27 Sonapur Street; 298 Janikar Street; Interior of a room, 9 Nana's Wadi; Old Nagpada; Sion. Although of snapshot size, these are good quality views and appear to have been taken as part of the record of the Plague Commission. Prints 194 and 195 show marking written on the wall which probably relate to rats caught at that location at various dates.
