- Scope & Content:
- Black and white print of a photograph of ‘Ashshār creek in Basrah [Basra, Iraq]. No date is given. However, the photograph was first published in the second volume of John Gordon Lorimer's Gazetteer of the Persian Gulf, Oman and Central Arabia (i.e. the Geographical and Statistical section) in 1908, and this print is identical to the one found in that volume. The photograph is attributed to Mr A C Wratislaw.
