- This file contains typescript translations of letters sent from Richard Strauss to Cäcilie Wenzel. The original letters, along with other items relating to their courtship, including photographs and programmes, were offfered for sale to Simon Boosey, but there is indication that they were offered by Ernst Roth to Franz Strauss, in the first instance. They are now held at the Pierpont Morgan Library in New York, reference: Heineman MS 272. There are also two letters and a business card at the Munich city library, with copies of these also held at the Richard Strauss Institut.
