Enclosure nos. 2-5 to a despatch from the Secret Department, Government of Bombay, dated 18 July 1848. The enclosures are dated 17 June-4 July 1848.
The enclosures consist of copies of correspondence relating to the presence in Sind [Sindh] of Mahomed Ali Khan [Muḥammad ‘Alī Khān], son of Alla Yar Khan, Asif ool Dawlut[Allāh Yār Khān Qājār Davallū, Āṣaf al-Dawlah], former Prime Minister of Persia [Iran], and an insistence by the Government of India that they cannot offer any assistance or encouragement to an uprising against the Shah of Persia by Mahomed Ali Khan’s brother Salar [Ḥasan Khān Sālār].
