- This part of the volume consists of a despatch from the Government of Bombay Secret Department to the Secret Committee No. 105 of 1842, dated 29 September 1842. The despatch contains material relating to the arrangements for the transportation of three ‘iron steam vessels’, attached to the Euphrates flotilla to Kuratchee [Karachi], intended for service on the Indus, and the possible deployment of one vessel to the Red Sea.
