The assembled roof trusses of the 60-inch building, assembled outside at Hubert Davies & Co. in Johannesburg. Several annotations in white can be seen on the components. A lady, dressed in a coat, wearing a hat and clutching a purse, is standing inside the assembly and posing for the photograph. Three people are seen behind her, next to a large building bearing a sign reading "Hubert Davies & Co. Ltd.". Written on the wall of the building is "1931". Behind this building is another, obscured, with a sign reading ". LAIRD". In the background, a person is seen getting in or out of a car. Partially visible on the right is the truss work of the walls of the 60-inch building. Duplicate of photographic print PB13_0053, which is dated to 1931 June 04. LSB04_0025 and PLB32_0003 are derivatives. Hand-written label: "in Johannesburg works. / the top of the 60[inch] turret / June 1931".
