The map sheet is one of three included in IOR/L/PS/20/E56. The map shows parts of the Levant region. It also shows the Mediterranean Sea, the Dead Sea [also referred to as Bahr-Lut], the Sea of Galilee [also referred to as Bahr Tubariyeh] and an inset of Jerusalem and the surrounding country (scale approximately 1:187,000). It shows terrain characteristics shown by hachures, hydrology, place names, and roads and tracks. It also shows railways under construction, branch lines and main lines open all keyed to a reference. It includes a glossary of Arabic words and their abbreviations. The map sheet is divided at 32°55’N.
