This item consists of copies of a Political/Secret Despatch and enclosures from the Government of India’s Foreign Department to the Secretary of State for India, Number 13 of 1882, dated 6 February 1882. The enclosures date from 16 November 1881 to 13 January 1882 and concern the alleged theft at Kateef [Al-Qatif] of a boat belonging to a native of Kadeh [Kadah] by Zaid bin Muhammad bin Zaid [Zāyid bin Muḥammad bin Zāyid], Chief of the Beni Hajir [Banī Hājir], and his brother.
The item contains a cover sheet that consists of a minute paper from the India Office Secret Department.
