Political Despatch from the Foreign Department, Government of India, to the Secretary of State for India, No. 11 of 1871, dated 18 January 1871, containing an enclosure dated 9 January 1871.
The enclosure consists of a copy of a telegram from the Government of Bombay reporting the death of the Ameer of the Wahabees [Amīr of the Wahhābī, the Amīr of Najd], Abdulla bin Feysul [‘Abdullāh bin Fayṣal bin Turkī Āl Sa‘ūd], and the military victory of his brother, Saood bin Feysul [Sa‘ūd bin Fayṣal Āl Sa‘ūd].
The despatch was received by the India Office Secret Department on 20 February 1871.
