This item consists of a copy of a Political Letter from the Government of India’s Foreign Department, to the Secretary of State for India, No. 9 of 1876, dated 14 January 1876, submitting a copy of a letter from HM Minister at Teheran [Tehran] dated 6 October 1875.
The letter discusses the proposed appointment of an officer from the Indian Service to be deputed to Persia [Iran], and the status such an officer might have in the eyes of the Persian Government.
