Political Despatch from the Foreign Department, Government of India, to the Secretary of State for India, No. 141 of 1873, dated 4 August 1873, containing an enclosure dated 8 May 1873.
The enclosure is a copy of a despatch from the Political Agent, Turkish Arabia, to HM Ambassador to Constantinople [Istanbul] discussing a prohibition by the Turkish Government on the exportation of Arabian horses from Nejd [Najd] and the possible ways to get around it.
A manuscript note by the Political Department, Secret Branch, dated 8 September 1873, stating that the papers are to be filed and indexed is found on folio 701.
The despatch was received by the India Office Secret Department on 3 September 1873.
